Watermark Community Development Corporation
Seeking to transform the economic welfare of our community
Watermark CDC serves economic needs like financial literacy and job placement programs in under-resourced Dallas communities, empowers communities to transform their own welfare and livelihoods through the outworking of the gospel, and supports healthy financial independence. Our hope is to restore dignity, provide sustainable development, and use discipleship as a means to invest in the community.
Our desire is to meet tangible needs in the name of Jesus.
Our hope is to see real life change and human flourishing happen through innovative and sustainable economic transformation by coming alongside our city, neighborhood by neighborhood. We want to be a part of bringing dignity and healthy independence to individuals, with the gospel of Jesus Christ as the core of our mission.
Financial Empowerment
Through bank partnerships, relational discipleship, and Financial Catalyst—which provides individuals with opportunities for financial education and accelerated savings—Watermark CDC works to break the chains of damaging financial misconceptions and practices.
Vocational Training & Employment
Job placement, along with soft- and hard-skill training programs, is a key focus within the Watermark CDC to help individuals master a trade or sharpen a specific skill set in preparation for a career.
Business & Economic Development
As communities become stronger through financial empowerment and job placement, incubating and launching small businesses is the next step in transforming economic welfare. Small business growth creates additional jobs and the opportunity for intentional discipleship.
